Our Best Selling "Metallic Foil in Millinery" workshop is now available LIVE ONLINE

A combination of traditional couture millinery and experimental trimming techniques, this workshop brings a new creative approach in hat decoration. Elena Shvab will teach you how to manipulate decorative metallic foil in order to create a stand out couture hat decors and trimmings that can be mounted onto your fedora, trilby, headband, comb, etc.

During this one day workshop you will be guided through different creative ways of foil application and learn how to decorate a variety of surfaces such as felts, straws, fabrics, veils. You will experiment with numerous techniques such as foil pattern making, creating artistic "drawing effect", foil covered hat bands, feathers, veils and more. You will gain new invaluable technical skills and will also learn a creative and experimental way of thinking. Non-traditional millinery materials and new ways of using them might change the way we see millinery today.

 This course is suitable for all levels: from absolute beginners to experienced milliners. 

You will receive a Material KIT that will be posted to you ahead of the class - All basic Materials are included:

- 2 types of Metallic Foil 

- Pieces of felts and straws for sampling

- BondaWeb

- Veiling 

- Feather

- UHU glue

- Fabrics for sampling

 

Other materials you will need:

- Iron

- Ironing board or a cloth

- Baking paper

- Scissor

- Toothbrush or any sharp tool if you have
