This course is a combination of traditional couture millinery and experimental trimming techniques, this workshop brings a new creative approach in hat decoration. Elena Shvab will teach you how to manipulate decorative metallic foil in order to create a stand out couture hat decors and trimmings that can be mounted onto your fedora, trilby, headband, comb, etc.
During this course you will be guided through different creative ways of foil application and learn how to decorate a variety of surfaces such as felts, straws, fabrics, veils. You will experiment with numerous techniques such as foil pattern making, creating artistic "drawing effect", foil covered hat bands, feathers, veils and more. You will gain new invaluable technical skills and will also learn a creative and experimental way of thinking. Non-traditional millinery materials and new ways of using them might change the way we see millinery today.
This course is suitable for all levels: from absolute beginners to experienced milliners.
The Course duration is up to 3 hours depending on progress.
Time availability is flexible to accommodate your schedule: morning or evening hours are available.
