Veiling is one of the most beautiful millinery materials that transforms every hat piece into an elegant, feminine and sometimes mysterious accessory. Knowing how to work with veiling manipulation with a few simple techniques you can start to explore the many design possibilities it offers.
On this one day course you will learn how to work with veiling and will learn a variety of different techniques to create beautiful designs for your hats, halos, fascinators, headbands, etc. You will learn how to:
- NEW addition to the course - Rounded Merry Widow face veil, learn how to create a rounded veil and mount it on a headband or hats.
- How to prepare veiling for sewing - ironing, cutting, crystal attachment
- Blocking a veil to create a beautiful rounded shape
create and sew veiling into a birdcage veil
- Drape and attach veiling to an existing base like cocktail hat base, halo, etc
- Manipulate veil on a headband and stitch properly to secure the shape
-How to create veil hat bands for brim hats
-How to create full length, medium length, and short veil decorations
decorating veils with beads and other trims
This course is intensive but suitable for all skill levels starting from beginners to advanced milliners wishing to expand their skill set. Thus, this course can be tailored based on the personal targets and discussed prior to the start of the course.
